Constructing a home to maximize ENERGY EFFICIENCY is an
important part of the home building philosophy of Kingsman Custom
Homes.
INSULATION: We start out by using
Sprayed Polyurethane Foam (SPF) insulation in the exterior walls.
SPF gives the walls
of the home an R-value of 20 instead of the usual R-13 batt
insulation. Sound deadening is and added plus to using this
type of insulation. The ceilings common to the attic have
blown insulation with a value of R-38.
WINDOWS: Kingsman Custom Homes continues the
energy efficiency by going a step beyond dual pane windows by
installing Thermal Break windows. This reduces heat
transference which cuts down on condensation forming on the frames
of the windows. We also use "Low E" glass in
windows with direct southern or western exposure to the sun.
"Low E" glass reduces the amount of UV rays that enter
your home (less fading of furniture due to sunlight) and it also
minimizes the greenhouse effect.
The homes we are building in
The Bluffs of Winding Creek will feature Andersen
wood windows. For complete details on the insulation
aspects as well as their 20 year non- pro-rated warranty, please
visit the Anderson Window website.
HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING: We use highly
efficient 12 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) cooling
systems from Carrier
featuring the environmently friendly Puron. For complete details on these units, please
visit the Carrier website.
Programmable thermostats allow you to customize the
climate control within your home.
All of the above are done to maximize energy efficiency
which translates into minimizing your utility bills.

computer, phone, and TV wiring by Network Logic delivers
